Love is saccrifice. That is the simple truth, and the hardest burden to deal with. Love is not give and take. It is give. It isn’t bound by a specific relationship. It is not something to horde or parade. It is not something to hide behind or to wear as a cape.
Love is a personal thing in that love is something you control. It is unaffected by the people you encounter, by the people you give it to. They cannot make it grow, cannot break it, cannot return it. It is individual and totally yours.

I thought about my past “romantic” relationships in my younger days such as in high school (one year ago) and I thought about how they are all similar in that I learned so much and that they were quite brief. It lead me to the notion that people that date a great deal should know a great deal about being in a relationship. Then I thought on the people I see in numerous relationships; I was quickly counter exampled.

He came not with a crown, nor a sword, nor an emerald locket. He had a cup filled with self sacrifice. Yes, Jesus has all the great qualities of each house, but undoubtedly he prizes the humble he manifested.
Batman is a Slytherin.
He above all others goes to great lengths to crush evil. He spends sleepless nights in darkness because he truly believes he has the power to win the fight of good and evil and put them all in their place.
Sherlock Holmes is a Ravenclaw.
There is no need to explain here. His mind is dedicated to riddles and puzzles and the solving of them.
Dr. Who is a Gryffindor.
Despite the fact that time really doesn’t matter to him, or is everything one of the two. It’s his job to be a Gryffindor. If he wasn’t a gryffindor it would be physically impossible to do his job. He’s battle Satan himself.
